Artist: Ross The Boss Title Of Album: Hailstorm (Digipack) Year Of Release: 2010 Country: Germany Label: AFM Records AFM 290-9 Genre: Heavy/Power Metal Quality: Lossless Bitrate: APE (Image)+Cue+Log Total Time: 49 min 19 sec Total Size: 388 Mb (+5%) | Full Scans MySpace Site Is this new Manowar? No, that it ain't. So it's Rossowar? Closer, but still no. What we actually have before us is Hailstorm, the second album by Ross the Boss. Hailstorm kicks off with a guitar intro very reminiscent of Manowar classic “Bridge of Death” and opening track “Kingdom Arise” is clearly Manowar influenced (especially the chorus and gallop of the drums). However, the bulk of Hailstorm refrains from following in the sandals of the self proclaimed Kings of Metal. Traditional heavy metal can be found on Kingdom Arise or Deadman's Curve; more groove laden (like Priest) on Burn Alive and Shining Path (top pick); heavier and plodding, almost Sabbath like on Crom; or more both heavy and epic as on Behold the Kingdom. Ross the Boss and company are in great form. Hailstorm is worth checking out especially for those that worship German metal. Very Recommended! Tracklist: [01:12] 01. I.A.G. [04:57] 02.
