Artist: Martin Darvill and Friends Album: The Greatest Show on Earth Country: UK Genre: Progressive Rock Year: 1998 Time: 1:08:40 Format: MP3 320 kbps Size: 160 Mb + Covers (+3%) I'm always very careful when talking about supergroups, but in this case MARTIN DARVILL & FRIENDS, managed to make it work. In 1998 Paul Ward managed to make a dream Neo Prog band that included such artists as John Wetton, Dave Kiliminster, Clive Nolan, Martin Orford, Al Stewart, etc. Highly recommended ! |
Artist: Sinkadus Album: Aurum Nostrum Country: Sweden Genre: Symphonic Progressive Rock Year: 1997 Time: 58:44 Format: MP3 320 kbps Size: 132 Mb (+3%) Very mellow, soft and quiet music with elements of folk. It resembles P.F.M, LOCANDA DELLE FATE or FINISTERRE. Overall, it's an enjoyable prog music with dark nuance and heavy influence of classical music. This album would appeal those who like early Genesis. |
Artist: Unisphere Album: Le Voyage de l'Enfant Lune Country: Canada Genre: Neo-Prog, Progressive Rock Year: 2004 Time: 1:06:54 Format: MP3 VBR 320 kbps Size: 149 Mb + Covers (+3%) The album released by Quebec based outfit UNISPHERE is influenced by artists like PETER GABRIEL and GENESIS; but with an emphasis on atmospheric segments that makes it closer to Neo Progressive than Symphonic Rock in style. |
Artist: Amon Ra Album: Precarious Balance Country: Germany Genre: Neo-Prog, Progressive Rock Year: 2008 Time: 1:13:56 Format: MP3 VBR 320 kbps Size: 168 Mb + Covers (+3%) ...Influenced by bands like Kansas, Yes, Saga and Dream Theater this CD brings us 74 minutes of progressive rock on a high level... Recommended !!! |
Artist: Zaragon Album: No Return Country: Denmark Genre: Symphonic Progressive Rock Year: 1984 [Reissue 1993] Time: 47:22 Format: MP3 VBR 318 kbps Size: 108 Mb (+3%) ZARAGON also has similarities with DRUID, ELOY, NOVALIS, and maybe SOLARIS[/b]. Guitarist Finn Jansen had a style similar to Andy Latimer and David Gilmour. The band has kindly allowed ProgArchives to offer the whole of their album for preview. Please review the album if you get the opportunity ! Recommended ! |
Artist: Arrakeen Album: Patchwork Country: France Genre: Neo-Prog, Progressive Rock Year: 1990 Time: 31:13 Format: MP3 VBR 320 kbps Size: 70 Mb + Covers (+3%) The only French neo progressive group to have themselves known outside the country. ARRAKEEN sounds very, very French. The music is to 100% similar to MARILLION with a NIGHTWISH touch (because of the very high pitched singing). |
Artist: Melechet Album: In Between Country: Isreal Genre: Neo-Prog, Progressive Rock Year: 2005 Time: 1:03:30 Format: MP3 320 kbps Size: 146 Mb (+3%) |
Artist: Hune Album: De l'Autre Cote du Monde Country: Canada Genre: Eclectic Progressive Rock Year: 2009 Time: 59:12 Format: MP3 320 kbps Size: 115 Mb (+3%) HUNE's music can be described as melodic, atmospheric, sometimes complex, with wonderful French vocals and harmonies that remind me at times of SLOCHE's first album. |
Artist: Kaipa Album: Stockholm Symphonie Country: Sweden Genre: Symphonic Progressive Rock Year: 1993 Time: 55:06 Format: MP3 VBR 320 kbps Size: 123 Mb (+3%) Only 5 | 5 stars ! |
